Travelling by train in Rioja

You can travel by train between Logroño and the small town of Haro in Rioja. This is a beautiful rail journey, running parallel with the River Ebro, and with vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see either side of the railway line. The small station of Haro dates back to 1863, and although it remains an unassuming little place, it’s iconic in the history of rioja wine as it was where the now-famous historic wineries were originally founded in the 19th century.
